Wait. What? Yesterday Wasn't Father's Day? Well, I Was a Week Early on that One. Drove All the Way to Syracuse so I Wouldn't Miss It. But Now I Will

Cynde and I planned on redoing the front for Father's Day and I can't believe she didn't correct me when I came a week early and we went to work on the plants and lights. Strange, too, that Casey made a trip all the way to Amalfi Drive yesterday when it wasn't a holiday. Maybe she was confused, too, but we did trick dad into a light haircut, where we removed the possum from his face and shaved down his head. He's officially cleaned up and we took 30 years off his life. He was like, "Jesus Christ, you didn't leave any hair on my head."

Strange for a fellow who has wanted to be bald for the last 20 years. His mountain goat look has only been a recent trend.

Casey visited for a short while, Karal and I got a long walk in, and I met the Bilities out for dinner at Hafner's ... a CNY favorite.

Still celebrating the great win of the Knicks on Saturday night and now have nothing but respect for Jalen Brunson. This is the first time I've been hooked into the NBA season, and he's one of the reasons. He and Stephon Castle (who didn't have a great game on Saturday) have kept me intrigued. Of course, Victor Wembanyama is a treat to watch, too. That one, though, was totally for the Big Apple and all its residents. To live in the northeast is to know the passion that exists around diversity, the American dreams, sports, and true democracy.

It's Monday and I'm going to try to do my best to do all accounting and budgeting from my parent's house, cursing out Workday as I do and hoping that I can get things moving in anticipation of the budget season for the next several weeks. Of course, my school lost its administrative assistant to retirement and I was told they don't have plans to replace her until August (because no one works in the summer. Yeah, right).

I think the temperatures are dropping today, too. I'll take it. I'd also take my bones and joints, age 21-50, too. I want them back so I don't hurt so much.

Okay. Time to get this day started.

A Day or Two Late, But Got Dinner in with Lossine and Delaney at Hafner's - the CNS Reunion Site & Local Favorite of CNY

I wanted fish, so I got fish. They got a burger and a Beef on Weck, apparently a favorite of the City of buffalo. No drinks. Cheap dinner ou...
