It is the Way of This Career, Dear Sir. You End One Chapter and Around the Corner Arrive All the New Chapters Ready to be Written

I was assigned orientation #3, which was ironic because in my session was a young woman from Fayetteville, Manlius, who worked with my younger sister at Fayetteville-Manlius High School and knows both my nephews. I really didn't have a big role in the work, other than to help students as they selected classes and to outline possible options to think about as they spend four years of their lives getting certified to teach.

Introductions brought about Syracuse, and Syracuse naturally led to the additional connection, with the humor that she worked with Casey...now she's with us at Fairfield, with no idea how fast these five years will go by. Orientation is the first step. She'll be graduating before she knows it...class of 2030. Isn't that crazy?

I was on campus all day catching up from the two weeks I was away, and didn't achieve much because of the technology issues the campus was having. I ended up home by afternoon to work from there, all in preparation of the PD to come with Greenwich.

Murky weather, too. Rain that will continue until Wednesday. All gloom and doom, but that's good, because I don't feel as guilty being inside working. The only one who loses out is Karal, because she won't walk in the rain unless she has to....she snubs her knows at it.

I'm heading to campus again in a bit, though. I'm hoping the technology has been fixed because I have much printing that needs to be accomplished. We shall see. I try to be optimistic.

That's the Problem with Summer. It's Simply Too Easy to Hop on the Grill and Find a Way to Gather with Others.

I had grandiose plans for being a loner on Sunday, which I did until later afternoon when I was hungry and I hinted I want people to take me...
