Goodbye Gallbladder Gal. Golly. Gobble-Dee Gook Gastrointestinal Issues are Just Great. Hoping the Surgery Goes Gallantly

The little sister is having her gallbladder removed today and my older sister reminded me she already had hers taken out (followed with a snarky remark, "you're next." I haven't had the same stomach issues as mom, Casey, Cynde, and Nikki, so I'm hoping this is one genetic item I can avoid. Casey said she's making Christmas ornaments out of the doctor's drawings, so I had to share the one made for me during Henry the Hernia's removal several years ago. I still laugh at the drawing, because the doctor was proud of herself, but when she lifted the paper, the ink bled through and it was permanently etched on her desk. I said, "I'm so sure you wanted my crotch stuck on your mind for the rest of my life.

Casey's gallbladder looks like a doodle from a Grannie Annie drawing. It also makes me want to go outside and plant seeds. I know that it produces the bile and works with the liver to digest foods, so I'm curious as why a removal of one would be logical. Shouldn't it help the stomach issues.

I will continue my deep dive with the questions I'm asking. More importantly to me, however, is naming the Gallbladder Gal being removed. I don't think Cynde ever named hers, so I've been looking up possible names (even in Gaelic): Grace, Glenda, Gay, Greta, Gaia, Gretchen, Gertrude, Gloria. I think I might go with Gloria, because that you can spell it out, G-L-O-R-I-A. If it is a good Gallbladder, I might go with Glenda.

Ah, I just pulled out my calendar and it was already on 2028, because that is how far the planning's been going with 'save the dates.' Give me a break...it's not even 2027. I will say that I only two events on the calendar and their both in the afternoon, which means I have space this morning to write (and get ahead).  Oh, Gabriella might be decent name, too.

I'm reposting Henry, however, (the drawing, not the replication left on her desk) because I loved how I was given an udder. Moo. Makes me laugh like the ovary discussion with boys from The Wonder Years.

Seriously, I hope my sister has a healthy procedure and she's never really got many breaks I noted medical department.I used to say that between Casey and my mom, there was always someone in need of something pretty much every day of the week.

I'm inhaling and exhaling. After yesterday's of meetings, I remain perplexed how these systems of higher education exist at all. We shall see what comes of them.

There Are Those Days & There Are Those Lives. And Then There Are Those Bridges That Never Lift Unless You're Trying to Get Home for An Appointment

It's Murphy's Law. Always has been. If there is a sailboat needing to dock inland (which might happen twice a year, you can assure I...
