Come What May, But First the Last Poem of #VerseLove26 from Yesterday. I Am Returning From Poetry Land to Normal Blogging (tomorrow)

Oof. Late night on campus for the ESTP advisory board with principals and teachers. Love when I am able to get the state of affairs from public schools and hear what they need from us. Whether or not the University will assist us in these efforts is another story. #VerseLove26's last call was to summarize the month poetically and I took all the prompts to write up what I got from the last 30 days. The poem is what it is...not as exciting as what I loved about the previous 29 days. Until April 2027.

Yesterday was also General Faculty Committee Reports Day so most of the morning was taking care of that. Knowing it would be a late night, I came home to walk Karal mid-afternoon, after the rain went away.

I'm thinking that I'm lying about on Friday, resting, grading, and taking a break from the University pace. I sent off the last email at 10 p.m. last night and then headed to bed. I need time to reflect and to reorganized.

Thank God It's Friday. Thank God Yesterday Was a Pay Day. I am so ready for a weekend. Let it be calm and non-eventful.

Another April

alliteration, and the last lines of forgiveness….an open invitation

to look around & compose a way into art — a great poetic slam.

to everyday emulations of love letters scribbled from our homes.

wishing the invisible, interrupted instruction,

another closure (lose, loss, lost) ready a new beginning.
