Last Night Was Inspiration, pt. 2, as the Center for Social Impact Invited Maggie Doyne Back to Premiere a Documentary on Her Life

Last Convocation, the graduate commencement featured Maggie Doyne, global humanitarian, to share more of her story through a documentary Between the Mountain and the Sky. It was incredible, as one would expect, and a gap year from high school turned into a gap life of building support for a village in Nepal...mother to 54+ children and 2 of her own. She is a testimony to how an open heart can change the world one child at a time. I couldn't help but think about the monumental work teachers do, often carrying the hearts/support, for young people in their classrooms, although they don't house them and give them shelter beyond school. 

Still, it is all connected. 

It was a great evening after a day for prepping classes, the bailout of extreme rains and floods, and a conference proposal for February of next year. 

Love is something...as is care...as is being human, when we choose to be.

Today, it is more POW editing, more class preparation, and more trying to get on top of the summer so I can tackle the Fall. I'm doing my best not to be overwhelmed and simply to get things done.
